Japan is with its robot innovation tries to release a robot cellphone.  Manufactured by Softbank Mobile Corp is releasing this April 2008, a Toshiba 815TPB Robot Cellphone.  Inspired by Transformers that transform a car into a robot, this Toshiba 815TPB is just like a flip top phone.  However, it right and left side of phone can be pulled to transform into a robot shape.

Toshiba 815TBP is equipped with the intelligent software that communicates with its user. It could detect the common behavior of the users and communicate with him/her.  An example is when user tries to contact a number several times in a day, then the phone will warn whether the user dials the correct number.  Although this robot cellphone can only communicate by Yes or No, it is expected that more intelligent features will be incorporated.   Toshiba 815TPB cellphone comes with any standard features that a cellphone have like 3.2MP camera, autofocus, and VGA display.

Robot hands and feet could move even though the phone can not walk.  No expected price has been released but it will surely create a buzz for young people who like robot.
