A fun, but tiring sprint on the way to work. The truck moved over and I found myself flying past a scooter until I ran out of steam and he inevitably came past ;o)
I'm also glad the silver car didn't decide to pull out too or you would have been treated to a hell of a superman impersonation.
This sort of thing really does wake you up in the morning!

Icy Roundabout Crash

Excuse the foggy lens. I hit a patch of ice on this roundabout which sent me crashing down onto the road. The sound is the worst bit. No damage to the bike but a large bruise on my thigh, road rash on my knee and shredded lycra.

A large hole in the palm of my glove shows why you should always wear them on the bike.

Van Draft

*Very Dangerous - Not Recommended* Drafted this van up the A30, right hand lane at one point!!.. I thought he must have been overtaking something ahead so followed. I almost managed to pull past him towards the end but he put his foot down as I drew level and then I ran out of steam. :o)

Cycling Around Heathrow

I started my Sunday morning ride with a loop around the perimeter of Heathrow Airport. Passing T-5, watching a Jet land and enjoying a close up view of Concorde outside the BA hangars.
The pretty village I go through is Longford which is due to be badly affected by the controversial third runway. Although not demolished like neighbouring Sipson.
